Expert Answers on Above Management Questions
Two contemporary issues facing South African organisations
The two important contemporary issues that are affecting the South African organisations are load shedding and skill shortage and unemployment. Businesses in South Africa often face the issues of frequent power outages that affect their day to day operations and result in increased operational cost. Skill shortage is another important problem whereby it is difficult to match the available skills and industry requirements, and this mismatch leads to reduced productivity level.
Recommendation of solutions
To deal with the issues of load shedding, it is important to make investment in renewable energy resources, and to perform the implementation of energy efficiency systems to ensure continuity of business operations. The issue of skill mismatch can be addressed by way of partnering with educational institutions with the objective of developing skills of students as required by businesses to function efficiently.
